Who is God in the Bible?

We've all looked up at the night sky, marveled at the intricate details of nature, or pondered the depths of our own existence. These moments often lead us to a fundamental question: who is God?

John 3:16, one of the most well-known verses, declares, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God the Holy

The Bible also emphasizes God's holiness. Isaiah 6:3 proclaims, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." God's holiness refers to His moral perfection and complete separation from sin. This characteristic reminds us of the chasm between us and God and our need for His grace.

Knowing God Through Jesus

While the Bible offers glimpses into God's nature, a complete picture only emerges through Jesus Christ. John 14:9 tells us, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father." Jesus, fully God and fully man, embodies the perfect revelation of God's character. By studying Jesus' teachings and actions, we gain a deeper understanding of God's love, compassion, and forgiveness.
